Etimologia

Il nome deriva dal mwdggreco mwdwmweaκρυπτὸς, mweqkryptòs, cioè mwegnascosto, occulto, invisibile e dal greco mwewmwfaἁράχνη, mwfqaràchne, cioè mwfgragno, probabilmente per le sue abitudini.

Distribuzione

Le sette specie oggi note di questo genere sono tutte mwgqendemiche della mwggNuova Zelandacite-ref-araneidae-1-0[1].
